About the easy one-touch kimono
All Miyakomon kimonos are easy to sew with one touch. There are kimonos for women, men, and children, but women's kimonos are generally said to be the most difficult to put on.
We are trying to make it easier for women to wear kimonos, not just our kimonos,
Up until now, many people have been working on developing it, and many patents and utility models have been registered.
Our kimonos are made based on previously published techniques and designs, incorporating our own original ideas and techniques. Some of our products are also licensed and used for rental by other companies. Hakama for adult men and women are made using designs by Wamigae (Twins Corporation), and children's hakama are made using designs by RENCA.
These processes are quite difficult, and are all carried out in Japan. These products are packed with the wisdom and ingenuity of our ancestors, as well as the skills of our artisans, so that you can wear them easily and beautifully.
The craftsman in the photo is actually my (the store manager's) uncle, and has been supporting us since we first started developing easy kimonos. He originally specialized in Western clothing tailoring, but he has applied his many years of experience to Japanese clothing. Sewing with a machine may seem simple at first glance, but processing the hem, in particular, is actually quite difficult and requires skill and sense.
