Anyone can wear a kimono!

Thank you for visiting Miyakomon Kimono Rental.
Miyakomon's biggest selling point is that it uses kimonos that are "easy to put on."
There is no need for difficult techniques to put on a kimono. Anyone can put on a kimono in just 3 minutes once you get used to it, and even if it's your first time, it only takes 10 minutes.

We also provide dressing instructions for each kimono and obi.

Comfortable to wear

It's comfortable to wear for long periods of time.
Since it is not tied tightly with a waist cord like a regular kimono, it does not feel tight around the stomach!
You can eat rice and sweets without worry.

Order

Find the product you want to rent.

You can choose from the menu at the top of the site according to your purpose and climate.
Please choose your size based on your height.

You can also order changes to the obi or add haori, hakama, or accessories.

If necessary, you can add a haori for women and a hakama for men.
You can also add a mini bag as an option, which is convenient for storing your cell phone and wallet.

Email confirmation with our store

You will receive an order confirmation email. Please check the contents.

After placing your order, we will contact you within 24 hours.
We will send you an email with the subject line "Miyakomon: Rental Kimono Order Confirmation (Used by XX/XX)."
If you do not receive this email within 24 hours, it may have been caught in your spam filter.
We apologize for the inconvenience, but please contact us by phone (075-441-3854).

If you are using a spam filter, please set it to allow emails from the domain "shop.rakuten.co.jp".

In the email, we will confirm the following information: "Delivery date," "Date of use," "Return date," "Desired kimono," "Height, shoe size, clothing size (body type)," "Purpose," "Contact us on a mobile phone number," "Delivery address," and "Return method." If the product you want is already booked and cannot be used, we will inform you by email and ask you to change the product.

Please reply to the email. (Order confirmed)

If your order is correct, please reply by email.
(We do not accept replies over the phone.)
The order will be confirmed when the customer replies that there are no errors in the confirmation details.
Please pay using the payment method you selected when placing your order.
If you choose to pay by credit card, the payment will be debited here.

Delivery

The product will be sent to the specified address on the delivery date (usually two days before the date of use).

We use recycled cardboard packaging to protect the environment.
Although the outside may not look beautiful, the contents are clean, so please rest assured. Please return the product in the cardboard box used for delivery, so please do not dispose of the cardboard box but keep it until the product is returned.

When you receive the product, please check the contents and try it on as soon as possible.
If there is a problem with the product you ordered, please contact us immediately. Also, if the size does not fit, we can send you a replacement product before you use it if you try it on early.
If you are worried about the size, we can deliver the item three days before the date of use, instead of the usual two days, as an extension to try it on (free of charge).

Please make a reservation for the return service (for domestic rentals).

Please call a Sagawa Express office and make a reservation for collection the day after your intended use.
The shipping label and contact information for Sagawa Express will be included with the product.
This procedure is not necessary if you bring the item to a sales office or convenience store. (Shipping costs vary depending on the return method.)

Use

Spend a few memorable days in a kimono.

If possible, hang your kimono on a hanger overnight to let it air out after wearing it.

Return

Please check the returned items before returning them.

To ensure you don't forget anything, please fill out the return sheet and put your kimono away in the kimono case.
If you find any stains, please write down the stained areas on the checklist and return the kimono as is. Please do not try to wash or remove the stains. Please be aware that towels and other items are often left inside the sleeves of kimonos.
Please pack the kimono bag in the cardboard box it was delivered in and send it using the enclosed cash-on-delivery slip. Please ask your nearest Sagawa Express office for collection.

[Important] If you are going to be late in returning the item, please be sure to contact us by email.
Please note that if you return the item late without contacting us, we may charge you a late fee.

Return completed

Once the item is returned to our store, we will send you a "Return Completion Email".
